What is a Parcel Drop Box?

A parcel box in Singapore is a lockable unit placed outside your home. It allows couriers to leave deliveries in a safe and secure location.

How It Works

1. The courier opens the parcel box and places the parcel inside.
2. The box locks either manually or automatically.
3. You unlock it using a key, PIN, or mobile app when you are home.

Parcel boxes for HDB work without supervision. They are made to protect parcels from theft, tampering, and rain. With growing e-commerce use, this simple device is now a must-have.

Types of Parcel Drop Boxes in Singapore

Different homes need different types of parcel boxes in Singapore. At Luxus, we provide several options to suit every living space.

Wall-mounted Parcel Drop Boxes

Wall-mounted boxes are perfect for compact spaces. They are attached to walls or gates and provide a secure spot for small to medium parcels. This type is ideal for HDB corridors or condo units where floor space is limited. Their slim design keeps entryways neat while offering secure storage.

• Space-saving and sleek design
• Easy to install on walls or gates
• Suitable for flats and condos
• Secures small to medium parcels
• Keeps corridors tidy and clear

Freestanding Parcel Drop Boxes

Freestanding boxes are larger, stand-alone units placed near gates or entrances. These are best suited for landed properties or homes with more outdoor space. They can hold multiple parcels and offer easy access for couriers without needing wall attachment.

• Large capacity for multiple deliveries
• Best for landed homes and gardens
• Easy for couriers to use
• No wall drilling needed
• Available in various sizes and colours

Smart Parcel Drop Boxes

Smart parcel boxes offer advanced access control using digital PINs, RFID tags, or mobile apps. They are suitable for tech-savvy users who want real-time updates and remote access. These boxes enhance security and convenience through automation.

• PIN code, RFID, or app-based access
• Get delivery alerts and logs
• Share one-time codes with couriers
• Syncs with smart home systems
• Ideal for frequent deliveries

Benefits of Using a Parcel Drop Box in Singapore

Receive Deliveries Anytime

Couriers can deliver at any hour. You don’t need to be home or make special arrangements.

Reduce Missed Parcels

No more redelivery slips or calls from couriers. Every delivery is received safely the first time.

Protect Parcels from Theft

A locked box prevents strangers or passers-by from taking your deliveries. The box is designed to stop anyone from reaching inside once it’s locked.

Keep Parcels Dry

Singapore’s weather is humid and rainy. Luxus parcel boxes are made with weatherproof materials that protect packages from water and heat.

Neat and Tidy Front Entry

No more clutter at your front door. Deliveries are hidden inside the box, giving your entrance a clean look.

Easy to Use for All Ages

Whether it’s a courier or a family member, the box is simple to open and lock. No complex steps or training needed.

What to Look for in a Parcel Box

When choosing a parcel drop box in Singapore, these are the most important features:

Size and Capacity

Check how much space the box offers. It should fit the size and number of parcels you usually receive. If you often get small packages, a compact box is enough. For larger deliveries, choose a bigger unit.

PIN Locking System

Secure your space with a customizable PIN code. Set your own access code for daily use, with the option for one-time PINs—ideal for couriers or limited access. It's a simple, effective way to enhance convenience while keeping your items safe.

Build Quality

Look for strong materials like powder-coated steel or galvanised iron. These resist rust and last longer. The box should also have a sealed door to keep out dust and rain.

Installation Options

Consider how and where the box will be installed:

• Wall-mounted: Saves floor space. Perfect for flats.
• Freestanding: Great for landed homes or gate areas.

Installation should be safe and sturdy. A loose box is not secure.
